• Place du Capitole — The grand pink-brick square with the town hall, opera house and the Hall of Illustrious inside.
• Old town walk — Pink-brick lanes from the Pont Neuf to the Couvent des Jacobins cloister and the Romanesque Basilique Saint-Sernin with its leaning bell tower.
• Cité de l'Espace — The space theme park: full-size Ariane 5 replica, simulators and planetarium, on the city's aerospace side.
• Aeroscopia and Airbus tours — Commercial airliners including two Concordes, an A380 simulator, and factory tours of the assembly lines; book well ahead.
• Musée des Augustins — Art from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century inside a historic monastery near the Capitole.
• Halle de la Machine — Giant mechanical creatures in a former industrial hall, reached by bike along the Canal du Midi towpaths from the Capitole.
